The Student Equity in Higher Education Evaluation Framework (SEHEEF) and its relevance in the context of the Australian Universities Accord

Despite substantial investment, evaluating HEPPP’s effectiveness remains challenging, with a 2017 evaluation unable to reach definitive conclusions due to inconsistent data. In response, the Student Equity in Higher Education Evaluation Framework (SEHEEF) was developed to provide a robust tool for measuring the impact of equity initiatives. This paper outlines SEHEEF’s key elements, its potential to build stronger evidence for equity programs at the university and national level, and its key implementation challenges.

This interactive spreadsheet known as the Equity Studies Library provides 118 studies identified as part of the Critical Interventions Framework Part 3. The literature was collected between June 2015 and May 2023 Arranged alphabetically, the Equity Studies Library includes key information on 89 peer reviewed journal articles and 29 research reports which can be filtered by key factors including: equity group, stage of the student life cycle, and method type, among other things.
